i would like to start working on the 2010 my-kart calendar covering the DRIVERS series, the TEAMS series and any other one off events. please see my post on the topic of fixing calendars in advance and not changing it during the year: http://club.my-kart.org/node/3452

general guidelines

DRIVERS series usually on first saturday of the month; unless the following:
avoid clashes with major public holidays like CNY, HariRaya etc
avoid clashes with major motorsports events like F1, MotoGP, MME etc
avoid clashing with long weekends / school holiday weekends (when people usually have weddings to attend and outstation trips)
avoid having two consecutive DRIVERS series rounds too close to each other
avoid official racing events during ramadhan and about two weeks after raya
try spreading the times for the DRIVERS series, TEAMS series, and perhaps even the CK125 series etc
try to avoid clashing with other karting events that my-kart drivers may participate in

DRIVERS series calendar

i have not yet booked the times with CityKarting, nor have i posted the individual appointments for the 2010 calendar ('edit' and 'clone'), but for your information, these are the dates i would propose:

Round 01, (CW) 2 Jan 2010 - 7:30am
Langkawi 125, 16 Jan 2010???
Round 02, (CCW) 6 Feb 2010 - 7:30am
Round 03, (CW) 6 Mar 2010 - 7:30am
Round 04, (CCW) 10 Apr 2010 - 7:30am
Round 05, (CW) 1 May 2010 - 7:30am
Round 06, (CCW) 29 May 2010 - 7:30am

*these are the dates for S1K and MME respectively. will keep the date for my-kart practice events if needed. the reserved dates in June and August 2010 are to allow for flexibility for changes to the Sepang 1000km (S1k) and Merdeka Millennium Endurance (MME) races. If S1k and MME falls on other dates, then we shall use the reserved dates for rounds 06 and rounds 08.

all DRIVERS series event days are saturday morning from 0730hrs to 1330hrs.

your help & collaboration needed

pls help collaborate to improve this calendar so we have a robust plan for 2010 and to avoid any further changes to our calendar.

anybody can share the event calendars for F1, MotoGP, MME etc? pls post the link on this thread.

we are planning to introduce a 6 round TEAMS series (enduro format) in 2010. So will have to slot in the event dates into the calendar. please help me suggest the 6 round TEAMS series calendar.

Feel free to also update the google calendar (search for my-kart by fazz).

also start planning your 2010 calendars.

looks like only MSS R#1 and R#2 will clash with our dates. This came in a little too late as i had booked the slot with CK.
